BBW & Curvy Sex Dolls — A Complete Buyer's Guide

Put a hand on her hip and there is real mass under it — that is what a curvy build buys. A fuller bust, wider hips, a waist that goes in, and every one of those a number you set rather than a model you pick.

Bust and hip size cost nothing on our configurator. Which means the decision on this page is not really about money — it is about weight, and about the fact that photographs of fuller builds mislead in a direction we can predict.

What is adjustable

Four things, and they interact:

  • Bust — size, and gel or solid. Both included
  • Hips and buttocks — size included; gel infusion in the buttocks is +$150
  • Waist — which defines the silhouette more than either of the above
  • Height and frame — the scale everything else sits on

The common mistake is maximising bust and hips on a slender frame. In a photograph that reads well. In a room it reads as exaggerated, because photographs compress and rooms do not.

How proportions read in person versus in photographs

We photograph every doll before she ships, which means we see the same builds twice — once on the stand under lights, and once through a lens. They are not the same.

Product photography is generally shot slightly above eye level with a moderate telephoto. That combination flatters and compresses: it slims the waist, foreshortens depth, and makes a fuller build look more moderate than it is. Nobody is being deceptive. It is what the focal length does.

At conversation distance in a normal room, the same build reads fuller. Noticeably.

Which is why the regret in this part of the category runs one way: people wanted less than the photographs suggested, not more. That is the single most useful sentence on this page.

What to do about it: ask us for images at eye level and from three-quarters rather than straight on. And if you are between two options, take the smaller one — you will be looking at her from six feet away far more often than from behind a camera.

Weight, and why it scales faster than you expect

Bust and hip options add material where leverage is worst: high, or wide, and in both cases away from your body when you lift.

The spread is larger than most buyers expect. Across our silicone range the lightest bodies are around 26.5 kg and the fullest are 49 kg before the head — so a fuller build is not a few kilos heavier, it can be close to double. And it handles as though it were more than that, because the mass sits further from where you grip.

Before choosing, read what she actually weighs and do the test in it. Ten minutes with a bag of sand settles this better than any amount of reading, ours included.

One practical note. If you are choosing between a taller slender build and a shorter fuller one at similar weight, the shorter one is easier to manage — the mass sits lower and closer together. That is not obvious from a spec sheet and it is very obvious on a staircase.

Gel or solid

Gel in the breast is included. Gel in the buttocks is +$150.

What gel gives: a softer feel with more give, and movement — it shifts with position instead of holding shape.

What it costs: weight, added exactly where a fuller build already carries it, and one more boundary inside the build.

On a curvy build specifically: the handling penalty is larger, because the gel goes into sections that are already bigger. Near your comfortable limit, solid is the build to take. Breast gel is free either way, so that half of the decision is pure preference. The full comparison.

Clothing that fits

Fuller builds are harder to dress, and the two rules matter more here than anywhere else.

Size up, and favour stretch. Silicone does not compress the way a body does. Go one to two sizes above what the measurements suggest, and expect tops to be the difficulty rather than bottoms.

Wash new clothing twice. Dye transfer is the most common early regret in this category and larger contact areas mean more of it. On silicone it usually comes back out — which is one of the reasons we sell silicone and not TPE, where it does not. It is still a weekend you would rather not spend. Clothing guide · Stain removal.

Storage

Fuller builds compress more where they rest, because there is more weight over the same contact area.

Hanging matters more here than on a slender build — it takes the load off the silicone entirely. If she is stored lying down, rotate every two weeks without fail. This is the cheapest thing you can do for how she looks in year three. Storage guide.

How we would choose a curvy build, in order

  1. Frame and height first. It sets everything else, and it decides whether you can live with her.
  2. Waist next. It defines the silhouette more than bust or hips do.
  3. Bust and hips after that — both free, and if you are between two, take the smaller.
  4. Gel last, and buttock gel only if you are comfortably inside your handling limit.
  5. Check the total weight in the configurator before you confirm anything.

Common questions

What does BBW mean in this category?
It is used loosely for fuller-figure builds. There is no standard behind it, so judge by the actual measurements and the weight rather than the label — including on our own pages.

How much heavier is a curvy build?
Substantially. The configurator shows the weight for your exact configuration, and it is worth looking at before anything else.

Is gel worth it on a curvy build?
Breast gel is free, so take it if you like the feel. Buttock gel at $150 delivers what it promises, but the handling penalty is larger here — near your limit, take solid.

Will normal clothing fit?
Yes, sized up one to two and favouring stretch. Tops are the hard part.

Do fuller builds mark more in storage?
Yes — more weight over the same contact area. Hang her if you can.

Can I see her before she ships?
Yes, and you have to. We photograph the finished doll and nothing leaves until you have approved the images — which on a fuller build is also your chance to see the proportions on the actual doll rather than in a catalogue shot.
